Having a bit of a discussion at work regarding the best James Bond films of all time.

My top 3.

1. Goldeneye - Childhood favourite.

2. You only live twice - Huge Volcano and Button Moon Rocket take this movie into my top 3.

3. Goldfinger - Pussy Galore and OddJob, Classic Bond.

Haters not welcome! (Apologies if Bindunne)

1. Skyfall ... based purely on the Trailer I saw

2. Casino Royale

3. Quantum of Solace

The Bond reboot just makes the original Bonds look too camp for my money ( no way you could make Austin Powers on new bond )

maybe from "Russia with love" would get a shout though

Said trailor was what prompted this thread, though I don't like the new Bonds at all.

I didn't think Bond needed re-inventing and I just cannot buy into Daniel Craig as 007.

Pierce Brosnan every time.

Really Shillzz?!?! I think Craig is the best Bond yet.

I was well impressed with CR but almost equally unimpressed with QoS

It was a nice change of pace and gritty bond worked at 1st but then they pushed it too far and it really didn't, I don't want the campness to return but a bit of intelligence and maybe even some story might help

With the casting of bardem I think skyfall will get that, really excited by it

Hmmmm, I just don't see him as a true James Bond. The films on their own are probably some of the best ones, but I don't think their filmed in the true style of James Bond.

Daniel Craig's Bond isnt nearly enough of a womaniser, nor does he have enough punchlines for my liking.

Edit: In short, Daniel Craig isn't Camp enough.

It's too tough to limit this at three...

Yes new Bond is highly polished but I grew up with Roger Moore so he'll always be my favourite!

People said he was too campy but there were elements of his character which went against that stereotype; especially For Your Eyes Only which showed Bond as closely resembling the character from the novels.

A working top three could be as below (however I change everytime I see a Bond movie) -

The Spy Who Loved Me

license to kill

Goldeneye

Skyfall could well be awesome from the looks of it.

I loved Dalton in the Living Daylights. Gritty, cheeky womanizer who fitted with the times perfectly. Then he was majorly let down by the crap writing for License To Kill and then the dispute happened. Gutted he didn't make more.

I accept I am probably in the minority here.
