VillaChris Posted June 23, 2015 Share Posted June 23, 2015 Not the worst player or full back I've ever seen play for us by a long stretch, he just lacked that bit to make it at this level. Thought in the early days he might turn into another Delaney type bargain. I wonder how well he'd done if he'd slotted into a back 4 like 09/10 with proper experienced alongside him rather than what it was in 12/13 which was Clark in his first full season as CB, Bennett and Vlaar new to the league. He always managed to pick out a Villa shirt, and his crossing I think was the best at the club. Just don't think he was very good at defending which a right back should be more so than anything else. he didn't have the pace to be a winger, but I would have liked to have seen him given a go in central midfield, think he could have become a Gareth Barry type player with clever passing and composure on the ball.
