wildwood
I wonder if it'll be Holman or N'Zogbia in the starting line-up instead of Holman and N'Zogbia? Good question, I think I'd go for Holman and N'Zogbia.
KjParton
I'd go for N'Zogbia and Holman tbh
LondonLax
The question was whether they would play together or not.
roadoftrinity
I think that N'Zogbia will start up front with Bent for the first game against West Ham, swopping with Holman and Ireland.
P3te
both ireland and holman will start, nzogbia will have to earn his place
omariqy
I reckon we might N'Zogbia play up top with Bent unless we see another striker signed. Midfield 4 seems to be set on Al Ahmadi, Bannan, Ireland, Holman.
8pints
Yeah it does look like 'Zogbia will be Bents' partner for the moment. Holman looking good though, very hungry.
Daniel
Holman look like he going to turn into a work horse. Someone that will run up and down the pitch and put a shift in, kind of like Milner. He also gets into the right positions alot, hence the few goals he's scored pre-season. I didn't really expect much from him and didn't really expect him to feature at all, but right now he's looking like a good player for us.
TrentVilla Posted August 5, 2012 Moderator Share Posted August 5, 2012 Ran around a lot but that was about it, looked very very average to me.

VillaJay
Can see him scoring a few goals this season, looks a bit limited as a player but has something about him, he works hard like Milner, can see him endearing himself to the fans and wouldn't be suprised to see him be a key player this season. AVFCforever1991
can see him playing the James milner type role.. One thing McLeish got right.
Zatman
sounds like I will be doing him for 1st goalscorer most weeks
Villaninoz
He'll be our new David Platt, runs around a lot and has an eye for goal. I think he'll do fine for us

I'm not going to judge him on missing that chance and I'm not going to judge him on notching a couple of goals against poor opposition. I've not watched the other pre-season games in person but I was there on Saturday and based on what I saw I don't hold out much hope for him being anything other than an average player but it is just one game, Time will tell I guess but comparisons to Milner or Platt based on what I've seen are simply insulting to two fine former players of ours and without any sort of foundation. 8pints
I suppose, after being given a full 90 minutes, the game to judge him on is the Bremen game now.
caw2510
forrest game was the first time i have seen him play and i can tell one thing he is not a winger. he kept coming inside wanting to get involved if anything we should put gabby out wide and play holam where ireland was supposed to be playing
