ffs could have also gone elsewhere today too:

Gabby you have 107 minutes to find somewhere to go.

I'm doubting that is true and certainly would expect Gabby (or anyone) to reject a 1 year permanent contract offer.

Option 1 : sit at home and do nothing and lose yet more respect from the club and fans, get paid.

Option 2: play regularly, show your desire to return by performing/scoring, get paid.

Or:

Option 1: Realise that your career is finished, sit at home and do nothing and lose yet more respect from the club and fans,  and get paid far more than any other option. Thank Paul Lambert every day for giving you a 4 year contract on massive terms after doing nothing for the previous 4 years.

Option 2:  Or Move to another club, probably sit on a different coloured bench, get paid far less.

Hopefully we come to an amicable agreement which results in Gabby never ever pulling on a Villa shirt again.

If Murphy's tweet is true, then it just proves how little respect he has for the club. He seemingly would rather rot, than actually try and earn his wages.

Don't be daft. In a message last week he said "vtid". How can you question his love for the club?

It's such a shame. All he had to do to be remembered as some kind of Villa legend is bugger off a couple of years ago. He has scored a lot of important goals for us over the years, especially in derbies. But his hanging around Villa Park being a disruptive influence, whilst bagging ridiculous wages for doing **** all means he won't be remembered very fondly at all. He needed to leave years ago. Now it's just ridiculous.

This. He has more money than most can dream of,  eclipsing even a lottery win.  If he had any feelings for the club whatsoever he would just go.  Even a 2 year contract would still be more than most on this forum will earn in a lifetime.

He has no respect from me whatsoever.
