Whilst I'm sure Man City fans will enjoy the next few days/weeks/months, it certainly must feel more than slightly tainted. A 5 year old can win the league on FM with unlimited funds. Thats all City have done here.

I'm not sure plastic fans really have that problem. Hollow glory is what they live off.

Villa and Man U were challenging for the title (Man U hadn't won it in 26 years) and Man City obviously wanted to keep it that way. We beat them 3-1 that day but the City fans didn't seem that bothered they had lost as it pushed us closer to the title.

I really thought we would win it that year but we bottled it. Just like in the 89-90 season :-(
