Kay-Ole Posted May 8, 2012 Share Posted May 8, 2012 Norwegian TV2 claims scouts from Aston Villa and Bayern Munchen was at Brann Stadion this weekend, to have a look at Norwegian talent Valon Berisha. He's a 19 year old midfielder/attacker, who has already had 4 caps for Norway. AndFos Posted May 9, 2012 Share Posted May 9, 2012 He was very good last year, carrying the Viking team at the age of 19. Has not started the same way this year, and was dire on monday. He is a great talent though, and i guess we could buy him for around £ 1 mill. A very attacking minded midfielder with a great pass on him and has a good shot aswell. Not as fast as Gabby, but has got reasonable speed. Is not ready for the first team here, but it is these kind of players we need to be scouting. Seems like a move for Ole has been on the cards for a while?!? Good point. And with Solskjær as manager, Berisha would be closer. Wonderkids, depending on your definition, are not likely to be found in norwegian football. There are a handful of decent players every generation though, and Solskjaer's insight should put Villa in pole position - although as will Solbakken at Wolves. At the moment there's a bit of a new generation coming through for Norway, and most will be very cheap. A matter of spotting whether they are the real deal or not. Valon Berisha (his brother Veton as well) Even Hovland Magnus Wolff Eikrem (Several years in the Man Utd academy) Harmeet Singh Markus Henriksen Vegar Eggen Hedenstad Thomas Drage Tarik Elyounoussi (already flopped at young age in dutch football though) Havard Nielsen Already in the bundesliga you'll find former Arsenal youth Havard Nordtveit (Borussia Monchengladbach) who'll be the back bone for the national team the coming ten years at least - and he has talked about moving back to England, being followed by Liverpool among others. Also Man Utd's academy player of the year is a short skillful norwegian named Mads Moller Daehli, who has the coaches in norway salivating.
