MON did a great job here. He is in the past, why don`t we just stop talking about him.

Funny you think MON was good, a lot of people I know thought he was one dimensional.

MON could pick a decent 11 but couldn't manage a squad, hence why we were in the top 4 until Feb/March each season until the players all became knackered and the wheels fell off. The same us now evident at Sunderland, and the Mackem fans are starting to see it.

I am happy with Lambert though. He looks like a manager that could be here for more than 12 months...

He was like the "curates egg" good in parts....and not very good in the transfer market.

Hope Lambert is more rounded.

As opposed to oval?

:winkold:

That's why paul and others on our side of this are more than a little pissed off with narich. Your club have not acted well in all this and despite all the talk from your fanbase about the relative sizes of the two clubs, naaaarrrrich have shown themselves to be small time and lacking a bit of class and honour. Shame as I always had a bit of time for the club

Spot on Richard!.

As someone said to me earlier.. "If I was Lerner...would have offered Norwich £250 and a bag of KP Nuts!"

I think the legal teams are going through this, the point is AVFC approached Norwich for permission, they refused but PL has a clause in his contract to say he can talk to another club, this is why he resigned. Then he started speaking to AVFC, as he's on a rolling contract they can't do a lot in my opinion.

So you've seen his contract have you or are you believing the Sun ? I think you'll find that he didn't have a clause saying he could talk to other clubs, hence why hes now on gardening leave until you guys come up with compensation that is acceptable to us.

So you've seen his contract have you?

No but our CEO said yesterday in an interview that we're still trying to agree compensation and if he had a clause saying he could talk to other clubs, then we wouldnt have been able to refuse him permission to talk to you would we ??

Jesus, look in the mirror ffs!

You poach our manager and still you whinge.

And by the by, if we've acted wrong, and we have no right to compo, why have you not appointed him yet?

Its because leagally you can't.

Not really it is because our club has the class your lot are lacking and despite all the shit we still want to try and do right by you. As for poaching, we approached, he had a clause that allowed him to talk and naarrrrich tried to renage on it. As for appointing him, watch this space chap the only thing not yet done is the official announcement, it has been as good as done for two days now

Yeah I have to agree, always liked Norwich from the Jeremy Goss days, but wow I've never seen a club act so small time. You forget really how far they dropped, and this is all new to them.

Never seen fans hang onto a CEO's (who yesterday on Sky came across as a bullied nerd in school) every word and believe their own hype.

There's only one winner in this I'm afraid, and that's an ever present 20 yr prem club that's seen this all before.

That said I like it when a small club puts up a fight, it adds to the entertainment.

Don't get me wrong, Im happy we may get a manager who's only time from outside the UK isn't from a holiday on the Costa del Sol. But Lamberts 1 season in Dortmund in the mid 90:s and a few visits getting his coaching badge doesn't make him a learned scholar of european football and isn't enough to easy my worries about him.

If he starts off by signing Grant Holt i'll be really worried...

I don't understand why some people are worried about him. He started low to learn the ropes and has flourished. Took a battered Norwich side to the title, followed it up with another promotion to the prem, and then led very average players to 12th in the league (level points with Swansea). He's proved his abilities to deliver the goods. A foreign coach with those credentials and everyone would be spunking in their pants if they were appointed Villa boss.

It sounds like Norwich do a lot of things underhand when it comes to contracts. Which is why they've still got a suspended fine over their heads from when they breached the football league rules when they took Lambert from Colchester without even bothering asking for permission.

FGS give Norwich a break, what are they supposed to do? Thank us? Randy's probably done nothing wrong but it still doesn't mean their fans are going to be delighted to lose a manager they love, so quit it with all the petty insults to their club.

Also not sure what's so sensitive about the info posted in Julie's tweet? Why was it good that it was taken down?

I said a few weeks back that if we wanted Lambert we would have Lambert. The bitter garbage I have read from some Norwich fans is embarrassing, but I guess understandable.

They need to realise that one good season in twenty years does not make them a powerhouse, the same as one piss poor one does not make us some small time outfit.

Im worried because it's not possible to build an successfull team by buying players from the UK unless you have Man City money. We have a horrid scouting history over the last few years and if Lambert hasn't got good knowledge of players outside the UK and isn't a big enough name to attract them we might once again start building an expensive mediocre team consisting of PL journeymen looking for the next payday, and then nothing will have changed from the last days of MON.

I have nothing agains Paul Lambert and he might very well turn out to be a great choice, but i will remain a bit apprehensive untill he ships out the troublemakers and show us what he can do in the transfer market.

I really hope some movement’s today guys... it's classed as normal day today isn't it...surely negotiations will be on-going and maybe an announcement could be made today.

When I click on your link it just says deleted tweets etc....but then doesn't show any. What's the crux of what they say?
