I accept things weren't great between him and Randy but he made his bed, by signing players on over inflated wages and never played them. Randy (IMO) was well in his rights to try and clear out the deadwood. MON acted disgracefully by walking 5 days before the season started. That was a major part of why we're in so much shit now. Yes, O'Neill walked out on us but at least when he was here his teams on the whole played enjoyable football. As for Mcleish boring, defensive anti football. O'Neill > Mcliesh!
