The_Lions_Roar
It's unbelievable to think this was a professional footballer who lead his team out at the Emirates 14 months ago. You really wouldn't recognise him! Horrible disease that I wouldn't wish upon anyone. Continue to get better Stan!

The Fun Factory
When he picked up the villa flag from the Holte and wrapped it around him, I felt a little lump in the throat I have to admit. Very moving. All the best Stan. UTV.
choffer Posted May 12, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted May 12, 2013 (edited) Aye, the GF couldn't believe it that in the 5 years of knowing me, the first time she sees me teary-eyed was in front of 40,000 people for a bloke I've never met. Properly emotional afternoon. Edited May 12, 2013 by choffer
MrDuck
Honestly, I think a place in the hall of fame is a but much.Would he have got in if he didn't have the diesese? I don't think so. Sentiment has won over on that one imo. Sometimes sentiment is far more important. Fully deserved.
Stevo985 Posted May 13, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted May 13, 2013 Fair play to around 50 or so Chelsea fans who stayed behind also and held up the number 19 posters. To be honest I think a lot more of the Chelsea fans would have stayed. Certainly the guys I know personally who were in the Chelsea end and some people around them wanted to stay but they were ushered out of the ground by the stewards. Shame really, would have been a nice touch if they'd stayed.

kevangrealish
Delighted for him and it just shows, Hes captained club and country, He's got a LOT of potential as a coach. He looks like a true leader and it wouldn't surprise me if he became a manager in the future. My brothers also mentioned hes very down to earth and honest aswell as the rest of football. I'm excited that jack will be working under him and i'm sure jack is too.
