barry'sboots
Pessimists. I can see McTool setting the team up in a really adventurous ..... oh wait! :winkold: 2-0 loss. king Carlos will look after RVP. I hope he plays: ----------------- Given ------------------- Hutton --- Collins - Cuellar --- Warnock ------------ Herd --- Gardner ------------ Bannan --------- SI ------------------ Zog ------------------ Gab ---------------------

parisvilla
1-2 away win. Great league record at the Emirates and would be typical of Arsenal to shoot themselves in the foot by losing to a crap team to end their winning streak. Gab Dogg to get a goal. rjw63
If someone shoots Van Pervie through the head from a grassy knoll we might hold out for a draw
villaglint
I'll go for the following team - assuming Zog and Hutton are injured. -----Given------ Lichaj Collins Cuellar Warnock ----Herd-----Petrov Albrighton --SI-----Gabby --------Weimann---------- I hate to be negative when it comes to looking forward to a footy match so I'm going for a mighty Villa win of 1-0 with a 70th minute headed winner from the Weimann. And then to everyone;s surprise (including Arsenals) we manage to defend well to the final whistle.

coda
Does anyone know anywhere in Birmingham showing the game? My usual place, Rococo, is only advertising the Liverpool/Wigan game at 3:00 :|

My usual place, Rococo, is only advertising the Liverpool/Wigan game at 3:00 :| I think the rules have changed on Liscencing for showing Prem games in pubs which is a shame as Rococco was great place for watching Villa away games. Apparently pubs etc are only allowed to legally show one 3pm game now.
nycVILLA
SPANKING coming our way! Put on an extra pair of underpants, it's shouldn't hurt as much. But still a raw rump for the week! Hopefully Gabby plays up front with supply from Ireland & Zog ( if both are in the mood) then we might score one or two.
OutByEaster? Posted March 24, 2012 Moderator Share Posted March 24, 2012 Been trying to figure out our bench and team. I'm guessing: -------------------------Given---------------------------- Lichaj-------Cuellar-----------Collin----------Warnock ---------------Herd-------------Petrov------------------ Albrighton--------------Ireland-----------------Heskey ------------------------Agbonlahor---------------------- Subs: Guzan, Clark, Baker, Gardner, Bannan, Weimann, ???? We're potentially missing a lot of players for this game - Hutton, Dunne, Jenas, Bent, N'Zogbia, Delfouneso, Delph and Makoun wouldn't need a lot of help to beat that first eleven - and I'm struggling to think of a natural 7th sub - hopefully someone will make it back. Personally I'd pick Bannan over Heskey or put Weimann up front and Gabby out left - but I've a horrible feeling that we might see the big chap out there today. Mantis
Surely Bannan should get the nod instead? He can play out on the wing. Or maybe we can go 4-4-2 with Ireland out on the wing and Weimann and Gabby up front? Please, just no more **** Heskey.
OutByEaster? Posted March 24, 2012 Moderator Share Posted March 24, 2012 He can, but he's nowhere near his best out there - for me he's really only effective in the position Ireland plays in. I'd have him over Heskey but I'm not sure the manager would agree.
jonno_2004
Agbonlahor to replace N'Zog on the wing, with Weimann coming in to start.
