There were lots of us (and i include myself in this) that thought he should have been aiming higher. Oh how times change At that time we should we were on a par with them then.

Hutton at RB? He is excellent at unconventional positioning!
Genie
It's a real shame that the Man City players are not up to the Pep football philosophy. Nothing to do with him, it's the players (and of course that doesn't include the players he bought in the summer and they are also being let down by the ones he inherited. If he has another 3x £200m transfer windows then he might be able to do something.
dudevillaisnice
Zabaleta in midfield is another bizarre decision. Doesn't look good for ol' Delph but he probably knows that anyway.
Genie
OptaJoe– Verified account @OptaJoe 13 - Claudio Bravo has conceded from 13 of the last 21 shots on target he has faced in the Premier League. Update. Yep, another major cock up by king Pep. Edited January 15, 2017 by Genie
Genie
This is how many goals every premier league goalkeeper has conceded during the past 22 on target shots they had to deal with. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/row-zed/horrendous-stat-proves-man-citys-9628046

bobzy
Don't think I've ever seen a result like that. Less than 30% possession with 4 shots on target (6 total) - win 4-0. Crazy stuff. Man City have got huge problems defensively.
BOF Posted January 16, 2017 Moderator Share Posted January 16, 2017 Pep needs time. Loads and loads of time This is brilliant.

TrentVilla Posted January 16, 2017 Moderator Share Posted January 16, 2017 I don't as a rule like Spurs. That said I hope they absolutely smash City it would be hilarious.
BOF Posted January 16, 2017 Moderator Share Posted January 16, 2017 If Spurs can continue to play the way they did against Chelsea and West Brom then they'll absolutely murder City.

kurtsimonw
Gets a bit of credit for me for his post match interview. Would've been very easy to target the ref, especially after his Burnley meltdown, but said again it was down to creating so many chances and not taking them. Genie
How can a club with unlimited funds for 6/7 years still have such a inbalanced side with areas of massive concern like defence? A club with the funds they have should be buying top players in their prime. Not blowing £30m on "maybe" players like their latest player from South America and bloody John Stones. PaulC
Cant get the really top players. They all play for Bayern, Real and Barcelona.

City want to be self sufficient though, so buying plays like Gabi Jesus, who will have a high re-sale value (or be there for ages) make sense for them. I do agree that they've made a mess of transfers overall though.
