At 27 its hardly like we've unearthed potential. He's probably better than albrighton so we should be better. A 14th place finish next season then. He's got into the first team consistently for the first time in his career and he's now looking at the signing of an International/Champions League calibre player that just so happens to play in his position. Holman sounds like a decent player, played most league and european games in a decent team and though not expecting him to be Arjen Robben I expect he will do a decent job. Oh I was bitter when those players left but I wouldn't say anyone really thought they were hopeless and possibly married to their cousin. We shall give Brett his chance I imagine, it's just all rather underwhelming, I'd have been happier if they had given Carlos and his patchy facial hair of wonder, a new contract. However if Brett does a Roger Johnson and turns up for training with a flagon of scrumpy, a buxom bar wench and his brand new Baby Bentley combine harvester, he better take care, I mean Gabby will have the lass knocked up in about 14 seconds for a start. Of all fanbases we should know after Barry and Young that you can want somenoe to stay however much you like but its in their hands if they sign. Lerner is hardly going to stop the manager from making Bosman signings because he's about to be sacked is he? Wouldn't do much for morale.
