Richard Posted April 3, 2012 Share Posted April 3, 2012 ITV 4 have a splendid programme on Saturday mornings about 830am, it is the Big Match from the early 80's it's superb actually to see the games from back then. The current season review is 1983 and we, although miles behind the leaders are in 4th place currentl;y I recall and the period is March 19th onwards now. Two weeks ago we lost 2-0 to Arsenal and were described as very poor, thought it was ironic. Anyway this week they mentioned the 1982/83 Chester report into football finances and how it was a worry that the clubs were in debt to the tune of 37M and how finances needed to be better managed.
