They have certainly elevated themselves as a club. Their trophy count since 2000 is ridiculous, and they have won a lot of European trophies. Remember when we were a  bigger club than Chelsea? It wasn’t all that long ago either. Light years ahead now.  Fair play to them.

Wouldn't say fair play tbh, they've outspent almost everyone by orders of magnitude. They're just an older, less fashionable City.

Yeah to be fair sacking frank and bringing in tuchel plus beating City makes them sound a bit plucky

They spent near £250m last summer

The media really pushed that "it's a young team and it'll take time for them to click" narrative to protect the fraud Lampard. When really, all it took was for an experienced manager to come in and completely turn that on its head.

Kenedy and Batshuayi both sign contract extensions and promptly go out on loan. Emerson out on loan as well.

They've pretty much payed for most of Lukaku by selling academy players - Abraham, Tomori and Guehi

Victor Moses (remember him) has been sold. Off to Russia.

Also, finally, Van Ginkel has left. 2 PL appearances in 8 years. He spent 4 of those years at PSV.

Chelseanomics.

It's great work by Chelsea but I'm surprised the players signed extensions. They must surely know they're not wanted at Chelsea and be tempted by a free transfer with massive signing on fee somewhere they would be wanted. Guess they figured it was guaranteed money.

something like 14 clean sheets in the last 23 games

that can be good enough, the ghost of Jose - dont lose the big away games, win the big home games - this season could be a case of who wins the top 4 mini league

they've already beaten arsenal away and drawn with liverpool away, next 2 league games are spurs away and man city at home so we will see

Not really, our xG was only about 1.5

We lost as they have £100m striker and we made silly mistakes at the back.

very true, crazy if we had Martinez and they started Werner it could have been a different game 😛

They didn't look great defensively to me on Saturday.
