PauloBarnesi
As brilliant as the Olympics has been , football is brilliant every week and not every 4 years. Really?? Football can be fantastic, but more than often its disappointing. And how often is the World Cup/European Championship frankly anti-climatic? So I can assume you have nearly 14,000 posts on an Olympics forum somewhere ? Football is the reason we are all here. The results are often disappointing yes but the game is awesome and you can't deny it.

RunRickyRun
The football season starting feels like a massive anti climax now, doesn't it? Yeah I feel that way too. Me too. It was great seeing so many GB & NI athletes do so well and Katie Taylor winning gold was the icing on the cake. I think seeing familiar faces at the West Ham game might get me back in the mood. dAVe80
Ok the people, what are your top 10 moments of the games? Mine would be: 1. Mo Farah winning the 10,000 & 5,000m. 2. Sir Chris Hoy with Sir Steve Redgrave, after winning his 6th gold. 3. Jess Ennis winning the Heptathlon. 4. Nicola Adams winning the boxing gold. 5. Katherine Granger finally winning gold. 6. Bolt in the 100m. 7. Jamaica 4 X 100m world record breaking gold. 8. Chad Le Clos's Dad, when he beat Phelps. 9. Brad Wiggins' gold. 10. Jade Jones in the Taekwondo. coda
I'd have David Rudisha's 800m in any list. I've watched the race a few times and it's a phenomenal run.

As can Athletics, Cycling, Rowing, etc, etc. When you see great drama in sport its compelling. More than often its not. But the nature of sport is that you watch it because you live in the hope something will happen. Oh and most of the posts were just arguing with Bicks about the Liverpool pop scene during the 80s... trekka Posted August 12, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted August 12, 2012 I think we've witnessed during the past 2 weeks why the Olympics is the greatest sporting show on Earth. I may even shed a tear when the flame is put out later.
