Mr_Dogg
He could possibly get into the top 5 if he stays injury free.
Paddywhack
5 of them 21 have played for Villa. Not bad

BrummieVillan
Haha Heskey. Oh the irony. Shearer scorerd goals for fun as did Henry.
NowDoINotLikeThat
Well done Bent. Is weird to think Heskey has scored just one less Prem goal than Dublin.
Ginko
So let me get this straight... 3 of the 21 players who have scored 100 career goals in the Premier League are currently playing for us? Also, I knew Shearer was an excellent player, but 260 goals? That's insane!
troon_villan
Surprised Fat Frank has so many, fair play to him getting that many from midfield. Hopefully Benty's got another 50 in him in a Villa shirt!
jackbauer24
Bloody hell how's Emile Heskey on there! 18 years in top flight football at an average of 6 goals a season. It'd be great so see someone with those stats. How many games did it take them to reach these numbers? Would Shearer still be top given Henry's much fewer number of games (I imagine?) And how would the clubs share these goals between them - but that's a fair bit of research too. Anyone fancy it? I don't... but that's just cos I'm lazy... MrDuck
Bloody hell how has Shearer scored so many goals? By being very very good! Was Shearer considered to be world-class? Shearer at his peak would be in any team in the world, club or international. His finishing was unreal. 260 PL goals is phenomenal, especially given the injury troubles he had. Over 400 first class goals in total!

maqroll
Amazing the huge margin Alan Shearer has over #2.
The_Rev
Andy Cole didnt take penalties. He scored one penalty in his entire career. If you take away penalties, then Shearer has scored 202 Premier League goals, and Andy Cole has 188. Sauce

All I know is that of the players to score 100 goals, Bent is the 9th fastest (in terms of games played) to get there
