Predator,.exactly how modern action films should be. No long winded intro and dull love stories.

**** brilliant film, nearly didn't bother to watch it as I thought it sounded shite when it was released, so only saw it on vid years later.

Fave line .. Blane.. " You lose it out here, you're in a world of hurt " !!

Why is the second Rambo in there and not the first? The first was by far a better film, surely? Oh before anyone queries it the first one came out in 1982!

I thought the 2nd Rambo film was shit to be honest, pure shit. Best Arnie one was Running Man, quality film, taken from the book by Steven King (not a lot of people know that)

I'm still reeling from the news that they're planning to remake Robocop, how the **** can you improve on something that's already perfect????

Stupid, stupid move and I hope it bombs.

Such a difficult choice, but I'm going with Commando, purely because it's Arnie at his best.

"Please don't disturb my friend, he's dead tired."

What. The. ****!?!?

Somebody tell me this is a joke!

Read the very first post in this thread - it was news to me as well, can't **** believe it. Absolutely unforgiveable.

I could forgive the Texas Chainsaw remake cos of that bird running round in a wet t-shirt but as long as my arse faces south Robocop should stay as it is.

Obviously not....remaking the Omen was ridiculous too. I wouldn't mind if they were both 50-60 years old and they were replacing black and white versions but Robocop doesn't look dated at all, maybe the effects a little bit but it's still 'futuristic' looking even now.

From that lot, Bladerunner, for me, Rico.

edit, wasn't there an Owl in it? too - if so - extra marks awarded

There was indeed. It was artificial too. 8)

Ah, but only in the way that Sean Young and Daryll Hannah were.

They all looked mighty fine to me!

I've voted for Commando even though I do not think it is the best.

I just have a soft spot for it, was the first film I really loved as a kid.

Bought it on DVD in WH Smith for £3.99 the other day, was SSSOOO chuffed! :D

Commando. Terrible movie, but the best one-liners.

"C'mon Sully - this is my weak arm!"

"Dont wake my friend - he's dead tired"

"Lets' take Sully's car - he wont be needing it"

"Why dont you let off some steam!?"

"All that matters to me now is CHenny!" *that's "Jenny" - but with Arnie's accent.*

And that's just off the top of my head. :winkold:

As for action films that involve owls - albeit a mechanical one - how can you miss Clash of the Titans?? Swords, mythology, monsters, skeletons, special effects, magic, owls - it's all there! In the eyes of a 10 year old (I saw this movie for my 10th birthday) - what other movie compares??

Oi! And you forgot the Conan movies! And how about Highlander?
