AVFC-Prideofbrum
Is "my word" and more annoying than "tik a boo son" Yeah cause things like tik a boo son is said not that often. My Word is said at least 5 times per game.
dudevillaisnice
Was it the Chelsea v R Madrid game where he effectively had an oral mental breakdown live on air Spurs wasn't it? The amount of times he kept on going on about Bale was laughable during the game when he did absolutely nothing.. "Spurs don't deserve that"

maqroll
I was surprised that Gary Neville is in fact a pretty good commentator...took him about 5 minutes the other night to utter a word, but once he got going he was pretty good
CI
I think Neville will develop in the same way Alan Smith has evolved into a decent co commentator He was dull as dishwater when he first started
Mantis
I think Neville is a dreadful commentator. Annoying accent too.
flamingsombrero
Neville endeared himself to me when he was willing to break rank from the media circle jerk and point out maybe the reason Micah Richards didn't get in the England squad was because he is constantly getting caught out due to lacking concentration and was at fault for the goal against Newcastle. Stevo985 Posted November 24, 2011 VT Supporter Share Posted November 24, 2011 Neville's analysis is top class. Not sure as a co commentator, but as a pundit he's already one of the best around. His MNF stuff is up there with the best analysis on TV. And this is from someone who hated his guts about 2 months ago!
CI
I didn't hang around to see this weeks MNF post match analysis, but agree Neville knows his onions

roonst83
Think he's a great commentator myself. Positive and appreciates football for what it is, a game. This. He is fantastic and always talks sense. I remember how honest and complimentary he was about us when interviewed at HT during our FA Cup semi final against Chelsea (when he was assistant coach). Id love him as a no.2 at villa!
