coda
He got a double 'my word' in before kick off. He must be on commission.

AVFC-Prideofbrum
Just too dull, pointed out that 'my word' after about two games of commentating. It wouldn't be bad if it was a trademark thing where he got excited and did it once every say couple weeks but he does near double figures per match in the same tone of voice. wow. my word, what a goal. this is a brilliant match. sounds the same as .. this is a truly terrible match of football, i'm nearly falling asleep. flamingsombrero
I actually like Ray Wilkins as a commentator, he has some intelligent insight and is a step up from the drone of Alan Smith. Regardless, while any member of the ITV commentary, presenter or pundit crew continue to be at large everyone else gets a free pass from me (even Garth Crooks). Tyldsley, Beglin, Chiles and the rest should be hunted down like dogs.

villa_shere
Better than Steve Mclaren on the Man Utd game last night. The commentator was obsessed with asking Wolly "what did Fergie think in this situation in the past" about 20 times
Stevo985 Posted November 23, 2011 VT Supporter Share Posted November 23, 2011 When he's not commentating on Chelsea, I don't mind him. He's got an incredibly dull voice, which doesn't lend itself to commentating, but he speaks a bit of sense. However, commentating on Chelsea, well he should just not be allowed to do it.
