The_Rev
Nice little tribute vid here- wait for the left hook on Nasty Joe was before my time, but I did see a few of his videos. I think the reason why heavyweight boxing is still the glamour division in the sport is down to the golden era of the 1970s when there were so many great champions about. Frazier was very much one of the people who put the sport into the hearts of millions of fans, and to have a career in that era and be undisputed champion is a hell of an achievement. Speaks volumes when the only two men who managed to beat him were the great George Foreman and the even greater Muhummad Ali.
dAVe80
An absolute legend. Thilla In Manila is probably my favourite fight of all time. What a beast of a fighter. Unfortunately he was still very bitter towards Ali, due to the 'Uncle Tom' taunts from Ali, in the build up to the fight. It was a great shame to watch him in the brilliant documentary about him, that I saw a few years back. He was making a living training fighters, in a run down gym in Philadelphia. He deserved much more that that. RIP Champ.

irreverentad
RIP Joe Frazier Agreed Tinker. I would add Sonny Liston to that also. An era we are unlikely to see matched again.
