Zatman
He has 4 league goals this season but should have at least 15 with amount of chances he creates in fairness mostly by himself. He has about 7 or 8 a game
VillaChris
He got 2 at Stoke in the cup. Annoying me as he's my captain in FF!
Zatman
but in the league vs Stoke, Everton, Norwich and today at Swansea he has had many chances and should have got 8 in them 4 games. A genuine world class player like Ronaldo, Van Persie or Messi would have had a bucketload in them games
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
Liverpool are an odd team, I'm not sure what to make of them. Pretty 'meh'. Although that goes for most teams this year. The quality isn't terribly great outside the few at the top. And it really is a non-contact sport now, isn't it? Very frustrating to watch high-level football these days. Zatman
watching highlights and they resort to long ball to Carroll too easy and midfielders of Adam, Henderson and rat-boy are not good enough for a club like Liverpool. Suarez looked like getting a bit moody as well today
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
Carroll is nowhere near good enough for Liverpool. It's beyond me why they bought him.

Zatman
6-1 Real Madrid still 30 minutes left. Sahin on for his debut
DiegoD
Some really bad refereeing already in the wolves wigan game. Hunt goes through 1 on 1 with the keeper, rounds him and gets his feet taken out but because he stays on his feet and tries to get the ball doesn't get the penalty. The_Rev
What a player Cristiano Ronaldo is. Another hat trick today, 17 in 17 for the season and 103 goals in 106 appearances since signing for Real Madrid. He has 79 goals in 74 appearances in the league. He hasnt started all of those games either, and he does get taken off from time to time. I would love to know the stat on his goals/minutes played ratio. briny_ear
3-1 now. Things looking brighter for Wolves! Wigan play lots of fancy football but have very little bite in front of goal. Also their defensive play is interesting. They seem to think the role of defenders is to stand around watching the Wolves forwards taking potshots at the goalkeeper. West
Al Habsi's save was special. And Alcaraz's spitting antics will land him in hot water I hope. Disgusting.
PieFacE Posted November 6, 2011 VT Supporter Share Posted November 6, 2011 What a top manager Martinez is proving to be It's a real shame he turned us down I think he will be a very good manager. It's a miracle that they're still in the Premier League IMO.
VillaChris
Correct you could argue he's done a great job keeping Wigan up these last two seasons. Without N'zogbia and with Rodallega not looking interested, they have no chance of stopping up this season.
Jimzk5
when you consider that he kept wigan in the league by spending reletively little, his got them playing some neat football, but without a target man, they wont stay up this season
Rodders
Martinez is ok as a manager, nothing more. But he does have relatively little to play with squad wise. Going down finally this year, there's no goals or resilience in the side - they play well in phases, but are losing to sides like wolves who have the same problem but are just aren't quite so bad. wigan are the only certainty this year, blackburn still have a decent shout - they have solid players and soon enough the chairman will realise they need better direction and replace Kean.
