World capitals. There was a time I could name every single capital (and identify the flag) of every single country in the world.
Off you go, then.

You have 20 minutes; screenshot afterwards, please.

I missed on a couple of spellings....but I did get Ulan Bator!

meh it's spelt Ulaanbaatar I was there last month 8)

actually spelling the capitals is the hardest bit i'd have got a lot more if it was just verbal

Side issue but whilst Amsterdam is correct when i was at school we were always taught it was The Hague .. did i have a crap school or were others around my age (41) taught the same ?

Well, it credited me with it with my spelling....it didn't help me out with Reyjyavik (?) though....

South Africa is - Cape Town, Bloemfontein and Pretoria??

Cape Town: Legislative

Bloemfontein: Judicial

Pretoria: Administrative

They gave everyone* a piece of the pie after the Boer War to avoid continued squabbling. For quizzes, Pretoria usually works best :)

*That is to say everyone who gave a toss about where the capital was.

Reyjyavik (?)

Reykjavik.

Which means something like Smoke Bay.

Nyapyidaw (Myanmar) was a real source of frustration for me. Took me about 20 time to get it right.

La Paz and Sucre are both capitals in Bolivia.

As said, Pretoria is usually the official capital of Sith Aaafrica, but quiz writers (like myself) know if there's a contentious answer, stay the **** away from the question.

Pretty sure I'd nail most of those capitals though.

When everyone knows perfectly well it's really Rangoon.

And the country is called Burma. Some regimes seem to have a taste for building their own capitals, don't they?

I was wondering what mine would be until I saw Villa dudes above, and frankly, given the amount of stuff I grew up on as I child I think the portfolio of Rowan Atkinson would be it, from stand up, NTNOCN, Blackadder, Mr Bean, The Thin Blue Line and Johnny English I think, I've seen ( and quoted to death in Blackadders case ) the lot

not sure if just listing stuff I grew up on counts though...

the Sharpe series by Bernard Corwall / Inspector Rebus books of Ian Rankin...

british comedy through film from Python through to The Inbetweeners :P

Didn't know they had changed it until 30 secs ago when I read Michelsens post , more embarrassingly it was 2009 when I was there and I was sure it was the capital city ... Rangoon Is now called Yangon ,think it was changed in the late 80's early 90's
