Of course there is the potential for someone to have done a better job. He did well in getting them to the Euros but when there they totally bombed, and were uncompetitive. With the players at his disposal, I think Trappatoni has done extremely well to get Ireland to where they were. If for example Mourinho had been in charge for the last 4 years, I dont think the outcome would of been that different. Of course we will never know for sure.
