AVFC-Prideofbrum Posted August 12, 2011 Share Posted August 12, 2011 they're a pretty good team y'know.. been in the final twice in the last 6 years and won one of them.. 2005 and 2007 have very little to do with now, Liverpool did the same. They got deservedly knocked out by Spurs last year and I'd fancy all England clubs to beat them fairly comfortably over 2 legs. Barca are on a different level to the English clubs and again over 2 legs, Milan would get torn a new one. Real Madrid would see them off comfortably. In terms of Champions League, they are way down the list of favourites, 7th or lower. They aren't useless, they are good but there are so many teams, and a few teams comfortably better... They also don't have a special (again, good but not special) ala Mourinho. Milan to win CL, I'd argue Liverpool winning the Prem is just as likely. Although I said 6th at best and it'll be 7th for them at very best, 8th in reality IMO. I also said Downing would struggle. Flop of the season either Downing or Horrendouson.
