Morley_crosses_to_Withe
Booked Vegas for the 26-30th of September. I don't know which hotel we're going to stay. We probably won't go right at the higher end of the hotels, as we don't plan on being in there much, so we're thinking something like Planet Hollywood, Aria, Vdara etc. We'll definitely do pool parties - provably Wet Republic/EBC and Rehab. Plus a few of the slick bars/clubs. Mainly, though, I'll be putting on my best Englishness throughout the whole trip
AndyM3000
Aria and Vdara are pretty high end if you ask me. Spent the summer in Vegas, going back around the same time you are and will be back for Christmas, love Vegas.

Morley_crosses_to_Withe
Does anyone have any recommendations for bars on Freemont Street? I think we're going to do a crawl around there on our first night in LV.

I think we're going to do a crawl around there on our first night in LV. The Irish pub with " worlds biggest pint " out the front is also the world most expensive pub so avoid it Tbh freemont is more about drinking out on the street and in and out of the casinos rather than in bars (IMO)
Tayls
Vegas is such a crazy place. Last night here and I head off to California in a few hours. If you go there, take a walk down to the welcome to Vegas sign. Was a long walk but was great fun.

Absolutely - there are though a couple of "Vegas signs" The most famous one and the one everyone refers to is at the south end of the strip past Mandalay Bay near the airport / outlet Mall. (Wiki directions - The sign is located in the median at 5100 Las Vegas Boulevard South) - There is also a "sign" that looks similar but is a copy that welcomes you to old town Vegas - not as famous though

Tayls
I refer to the sign being down, because it is south of 'the strip' when you look at it on the map. The sign we walked to was indeed the one past Mandalay Bay. But, to go into more technicalities, just for fun, 'the Strip' isn't actually within the Las Vegas city limits anyway...so most people who go there haven't been to Las Vegas proper before, but instead to Clark County. The strip portion of Las Vegas Blvd starts just before the Stratosphere and from there down past Mandalay Bay. But, who really cares, Las Vegas is **** awesome. The only thing I don't like is all the bloody cards people try to hand over to ya with naked women on. It's just so degrading towards those intelligent ladies to just have their picture passed out like that.
