booked into a penthouse suite at the bellagio for a buddys stag do over 4th of july, flying in from cancun, should be interesting!

I stayed in a penthouse suite at the Bellagio a couple of years ago. Those suites are unbelievable! Especially if you have one with a view of the fountains and the strip! Enjoy!

was amazing, did cheetahs vip on fri, pool and bars at the bellagio on sat, won a little, lost a lot, a bad day at vegas is better than a good day anywhere else...and the suite! wow.

Friday-flight delayed in Charlotte, had to use miles so was on the late flight, but was in first class so sat on tarmac sipping vodka. uneventful flight, taxi to Treasure island, got in at midnight, threw bags in, few drinks and won $150, in bed at 2 am.

Saturday-up early, gym (first time ever in vegas), then taxi over to ballys to meet my pals, check in and straight over to encore beach club where we got comped a table 2 tables away from kaskade spinning. All the voddy and stuff you can drink.

Few cocktails then a little siesta, before up around 10pm and out down the linq for drinks with other friends, bit more gambling and in bed around 4am

Sunday-up and to pool, couple of drinks, then siesta then up and eat and gamble. down to carnival court for the band

Monday-same as sunday

Tuesday-slept on plane all the way back.

Came back up a little bit, so pretty good trip in all. not as young as i once was!!

I was in Vegas a couple weeks ago. I was there for independence day, and it was terrible. My girlfriend had never been and thought going during a holiday would be nice because she would see fireworks and vegas would be "alive". Nope, never again. I've been to vegas numerous times in the past 2 years, and it's definitely best to go when it's quieter.

The hotel we got had broken lights so it was dark the whole time there. We asked to change rooms, but everything was completely booked. It also didn't make our trip nice that our room overlooked the new bar area of vegas so all we heard was music blasting till 3am. (I know this isn't a fault of Vegas, but it definitely hindered our enjoyment)

The strip was also extremely crowded. Difficult to walk crowded. Luckily I knew which hotels were connected and how to get places without being on the actual strip so we minimized walking with the crowds, but it was still very hard walking places. I timed the walk from MGM to Cosmo at 1:15pm, and it was just over 45 minutes. At night, it wasn't even worth walking the strip, so we just stayed with a few hotels worth of distance from our room.

Then we wanted to go to the pool, and there was a 45 minute wait just to get in. The pool was a madhouse. So many bodies crammed in and people were laying their towels on any available walking path, grass, and cement opening. We decided not to go.

Casinos were the worst. Gambling at night was only for the patient. Every single table had the max amount of people possible so all the tables had people waiting just to get their chance to sit. The only available seats were for the $25 tables and I didn't fancy losing $100 in a minute. All our gambling was done in the day which was actually nice because day drinking!

Still with all that, the trip was alright. I showed my girlfriend every casino on the strip, even all the way to circus circus (needed to uber that with it being so hot). I barely remember showing my girlfriend the north side of the strip because she had a bunch of buy 1 get 1 free drink coupons so at every casino we would get a cocktail.

I love going to vegas, but the crowds really made the experience a whole less enjoyable. I highly advise going in a quieter time. It's simply much nicer not having to wait an hour just to get seated for breakfast, or not being able to get served at casinos because the waitresses were so overwhelmed.

Overall though, I still made money. I bet on Germany-Italy to draw after 90, so I won a decent amount there. I also bet $250 on France to beat Iceland which was probably the easiest money I ever made betting.

Bloody hell Dom, another visit.

Well after much umming and aahing and changed minds, we are booking Vegas for next September in the new year. I love the MGM, but also a fan of The Flamingo, it's location is ideal and the price ordinarily is pretty good. I think however we may be going for The Monte Carlo or Polo towers, some good deals on those properties at the moment.

I can't recall the Flamingo even though I must have walked past it countless times ( having looked it up on the map )

came up in conversation that one of my mates wants to go to Vegas for his 50th next year so all being well I'll be going back in 2017

I love the flamingo, the location is spot on and not as expensive as cesars or Bellagio.

This thread I guess should be renamed to just Las Vegas. That said just booked flights for 9 days in September. Golden Nugget might be the hotel but have time to deliberate over that.
