Surely that was from 2008 when he tried to engineer the move to Liverpool and the saga lasted for months. He left just a week after the season finished in 2009. From what I remember Man. It's Chicken/Egg though. Had both of those two stayed, you'd assume we might have also kept Ash, and we'd be a shitload better than we are now, we possibly may have been able to make other signings to strengthen the squad. We may still have been a good side if they'd stayed, perhaps even a champions league side. But a title contending side, we were never going to be. I remember the 2-2 away game (Sidwell og) and Djemba spent what seemed like the 90 minutes enthusiastically running up and down the touchline.
