Watched MOTD2's highlights of Man Utd v Man City derby again today. Seeing James Milner chop down Ashley Young early on in the game, and Milner grinning and visibly mouthing 'sorry,' and Young righting himself far more quickly than he probably would've done had he not been clogged by an ex-Villa teammate made for quite poignant viewing.

Why did Milner hold up both hands and apologise then?! Chop is too strong a word, but the ball was already past Milner when he took a swipe. Young had no option but to leap or get clipped. Legitimate, injury-avoiding dive.

1023 FOOTBALL: League Two side Cheltenham Town have released defender Kyle Haynes and striker Ethan Moore from their contracts at Whaddon Road. Moore, 18, failed to make a single appearance for the Robins, while fellow teenager Haynes played 20 games during his three years at the club.

Where is he?? :D

It must have been down to image rights!

When the major sponsors such as Coca-Cola, Gillette and Sony are wanting you to be the face of their brand, then you can understand the issues it can cause.

Also it is about time FIFA did something about these players refusing to play and trying to engineer a move. He had a contract with Cheltenham. Barcelona should not have tapped him up as Messi's replacement!
