It's clear he won't play this season, why bother keeping up the pretense. He'd be better off doing another 4-month loan in the Championship if we do intend to keep him on. I can only conclude Sherwood and Garde both think his body can't hack top level football. I don't think it's the worst idea in the world to give him a few games between now and the end of the season to see what state he's in.
