They say a good goalkeeper is worth their weight in gold, that investing in a keeper provides a greater return in points per pound spent than anywhere else on the pitch. I've read some estimates that a good goalkeeper can earn his team 8-10 points per season over an average keeper. We could not afford to lose those points this season and we cannot afford to lose them next season either. We need a new keeper as we did at the start of this season.
