LondonLax
Rangers are to meet my local club Malmö FF..but apparently no rangers fans will be allowed to travel after being hit by a 3 match for singing sectarian ? songs. What exactly is a sectarian song ? Songs about the different religious sects. In this case (Protestant) Rangers fans singing songs about how they hate Catholics. VillaAlex
Stoke advance with ease. Hadjuk created very little, Woodgate in particular was excellent. All three English teams will be seeded for tomorrows draw, that's if Fulham get through.

Troglodyte Posted August 4, 2011 VT Supporter Share Posted August 4, 2011 Stoke advance with ease. Hadjuk created very little, Woodgate in particular was excellent. Woodgate is a fantastic defender. I hope he can do a Laursen and stay free of injury for a while at least (he can get a knock before they play Villa, though).

VillaAlex
It's because the coefficients of the smaller nations are that bad, whenever an English club makes it through to that stage, they will always be seeded.
Zatman
but i seem to remember a few years ago we were one of lowest ranked seeds and sha havent played in europe ever unless anglo-italia cup counts
BOF Posted August 5, 2011 Moderator Share Posted August 5, 2011 Co-efficient only goes back 5 years (and is about to be reduced to 3 or 4 IIRC), so Anglo-Italian wouldn't count. The lowest co-efficient a team can have is the baseline one for their country's league, so the noses even with no European experience will be 17.157 off the back of the Premier League's strength. EDIT : They're not seeded. They're joint 38th ranked (along with Stoke) in a 48 team round.
