BOF Posted February 20, 2012 Author Moderator Share Posted February 20, 2012 Huge week in the reserves league. Only Newcastle & Sunderland don't play over the next 48 hours. BOF Posted February 20, 2012 Author Moderator Share Posted February 20, 2012 Chelsea do us a massive favour. Fulham, 5 unbeaten have now lost 2 on the spin and can almost be ruled out of the title race barring a miracle. [table color=#bccde9:e9c5d50e6e][row][mcol][mcol]Chelsea[mcol]3-2[mcol]Fulham[row][col][col] 3' Romelu Lukaku 53' Ismail Seremba 69' Patrick Bamford (p)[col][col] 45' Kerim Frei 68' Pajtim Kasami [/table]
BOF Posted February 20, 2012 Author Moderator Share Posted February 20, 2012 Oh and that Patrick Bamford (on his debut) is the Notts Forest striker who made the controversial move in the January window.
OutByEaster? Posted February 20, 2012 Moderator Share Posted February 20, 2012 Top of the table clash tomorrow, no travel involved, bit of a local derby, players on a break from both sides - anyone suspect we might see some familiar names on display? BOF Posted February 21, 2012 Author Moderator Share Posted February 21, 2012 We always put out a stronger side against local sides, so yes I'd be amazed if we didn't.
OutByEaster? Posted February 21, 2012 Moderator Share Posted February 21, 2012 Albion have named a young squad - no fringe players intheir that I can see.
BOF Posted February 21, 2012 Author Moderator Share Posted February 21, 2012 No Gardner ... Siegrist, Lichaj, Williams, Baker, Stevens, Carruthers, Johnson, Herd, Cameron, Bannan, Weimann Subs: Nelson-Addy, Barrett, Caira, Taylor, Robinson

BOF Posted February 21, 2012 Author Moderator Share Posted February 21, 2012 Herd was subbed around the hour mark. I think we can say he'll be in the squad against Wigan.
OutByEaster? Posted February 21, 2012 Moderator Share Posted February 21, 2012 Weimann is really coming on - I think it's getting to the point where they need to give him a go in the first team to see if he's the real deal.
BOF Posted February 21, 2012 Author Moderator Share Posted February 21, 2012 When you start regularly scoring hattricks for the reserves it becomes pointless keeping him there. Add Bent's comments about him recently and I think Eck will find it hard to keep him out for long particularly with Keane gone after Saturday. barry'sboots
When you start regularly scoring hattricks for the reserves it becomes pointless keeping him there. Add Bent's comments about him recently and I think Eck will find it hard to keep him out for long particularly with Keane gone after Saturday. Was thinking that. I haven't really seen anything of Wiemann as I don't watch the reserves. Would he be able to play with Bent - probably need to drop deeper and link up CM as Keane was doing - or would he be a straight replacement for Bent? OutByEaster? Posted February 21, 2012 Moderator Share Posted February 21, 2012 It's a great result by the way - and it's good to hear that Enda sounds pretty useful and Herd is back. It's almost a shame we have a first team.
quizme
Derrick Williams? He is pretty higly rated I´ve heard? He seems to be a big lad. Whats the thinking of him?
BOF Posted February 22, 2012 Author Moderator Share Posted February 22, 2012 Judging by the scorers, Wenger is now concentrating on the reserve title. Would that trophy count to their fans? BOF Posted February 27, 2012 Author Moderator Share Posted February 27, 2012 Tonight's reserve clash @ Swansea. VILLA: Siegrist, Lichaj, Williams, Herd, Webb, Baker, Robinson, Johnson, Taylor, Carruthers, Cameron. Subs: Grealish, Barrett, Graham, Lewis, Caira. No Weimann (Aus U21s), Bannan (Sco), Gardner (Eng U21s) or Stevens who I can only assume is in the Irish U21s though I can't say for definite.
