sne
Montella sacked by AC Milan, doubt anyone can be surprised by that. Gattuso takes over for now. Return of Ancelotti on the horizon? Edit: Bucchi of Sassuolo also gone. And the Italian managerial sacking bonanza is on! That'll be interesting and entertaining if nothing else. I imagine it'd be like Roy Keane on coke.
lapal_fan
Spent a lot of money on young hotshots + Bonucci. Won 6, lost 6 drew 2. It's not enough.

Think they did have financial issues though,

Think Gattuso's going to have a Sherwood esque spell in charge.
rodders0223
Just AC Milan things. Who is next in line for manager? Boateng or Taarabt?
VillaChris
Milan losing 2-0 to Rijeka now. Gattuso doing a good Sherwood impression, calling out his players already.
sne
Mino Raiola has successfully managed to drive a spike between the A.C Milan fans and their young goalie Gianluigi Donnarumma by stalling with his contract and flirting with other clubs. To the point they have now lost patience with him and are protesting at home games. Donnarumma was reduced to tears when they unfurled this banner last night. Roughly translated to !Psychological violence by giving you €6million a season and signing your parasite brother? It’s time to leave… our patience with you is over!! Sad time for Donnarumma and the Milan fans. All the while Raiola will probably pocket £10-20m for the transfer
sne
Strange enough Gattuso is having a bit of a hard time with his Milan. Losing 3-0 to second to bottom side Verona Surely it must be time for Ancelotti to step in and finish the season for them soon?
sne
Apparently Rino tried to resign after the Verona loss but was talked out of it by Fassone (sporting director) He was incensed by the lack of effort from his players...
sne
Fiorentina captain and Italian international Davide Astori has been found dead in his hotel room ahead of today's game against Udinese that has now been cancelled. VillaChris
Really sad news. Apparently some of his team mates broke down the hotel door when he didn't turn up for breakfast and found him dead. Capped 14 times for Italy. Sanchez plays for Espanyol now btw.

Sanchez actually broke down on field when he got the news that his former teammate had passed away. Espanyol played an early game against Levante and someone in their staff told him as soon as the news got out. Apparently Sanchez was inconsolable after the game. VillaChris
That's very sad to see, poor Carlos. Astori was likely to have played v England in the friendlies this month so I read that Wembley is planning a tribute for him.

VillaChris
Very emotional watching it at the start, I don't think Viola should be playing so soon after his death. The CB who's replaced Astori in the team, Victor Hugo, just scored from a corner.
bobzy
There's been a lot made of Ronaldo's goalscoring exploits this season - well, in the Champions League at least - and the debut season for Mo Salah at Liverpool. However, somewhat under the radar for whatever reason, Ciro Immobile scored his 37th goal of the season for Lazio last night, against RB Salzburg. With 26 goals in Serie A this season, Immobile is bettered only by Salah (29) in league goals scored across Europe's top leagues. Last season, he scored 23 Serie A goals leaving him with 49 goals in 63 league games for Lazio. Will he be leaving in the summer to try his luck outside Italy once more? I don't remember him being particularly successful at Dortmund, but he's clearly in the form of his life right now.
VillaChris
Lazio play a very entertaining and open style. He reminds me of Vardy actually, fantastic box player and finisher but dosen't contribute much to build up. Belotti at Torino is similar. Yet to have the same success on the international scene though as seen in the England game.
