I knew a bloke (friend of a friend) in Vancouver and for years I thought his name was Creg. Hung out loads with him and his other half, went to hockey games, played golf, lots of nights out. About four years after I met him my cousin texted me to say we were seeing Craig that night and I’d genuinely no idea who she was talking about. 1

Ice Cream Vans are a rental business. They rent the vans and make the renter buy al the stock from them too. In the price of the rent they get either a round or a pitch, the ones with a pitch pay more. It's a mugs game, the only winners are the suppliers. It's prety much like the pub tenant. Shit business model unless you're the one collecting the rent

villa4europe
I worked with an old site manager who bought an ice cream van to try and make some pocket money at the weekends, turned up at a car boot in Halesowen, lasted about 5 minutes before he was told in no uncertain terms that he wouldn't be selling ice cream there there's a right ice cream mafia lurking in the shadows controlling the pitches

In particular, the one that springs readily to mind is on trinity road side of the holte, parked on the grass/kerb side. I also wonder if that is a "protected" pitch ? Must be.
