I want the Brummie lad kept on there.

Then you tell them you don't actually want kids, and invariably you get the "Ah... you'll change your mind!" response. When will it be acceptable to for me to say the exact same thing to people who've just announced that they're expecting? I'm a few pages behind, but this pisses me off. It's become like a really shit groundhog day ever since getting engaged a couple of weeks ago. I've started taking a kind of perverse joy from the awkwardness though. "You'll be having little ones any minute now I bet!" "Actually, we can't have kids..." "Oh." Feel uncomfortable? Yeah, well maybe mind your own **** business, Karen. mjmooney Posted July 20, 2019 Author VT Supporter Share Posted July 20, 2019 It's the classic elephant in the room, that one. We know a few childless couples, but we simply do NOT ask whether that was by choice or circumstance.

sharkyvilla
Weren't there about 300,000 people involved with the first moon landing? Hard to have them all work on it and either dupe them all, or convince them all to lie.

chrisp65
I can never decide if people are having a currently fashionable chat around the idea. Not really believing it, but talking it through out of interest for the various bits n bobs of conspiracy theory. Or whether they actually genuinely believe it could be a fake. In which case, I have to self censor.

The interest in it for me comes purely from the cold war angle and if the yanks really were that desperate to get one over on them Think the reflection And discussion on the cold war isn't where it could be in this country, it's fascinating
