Delph hasn't played well outside of LB this season. I'd like to see:

-------------Bent---------Agbonlahor-----------

--Young----NRC--------Makoun----Downing---

--Clark-----Collins-----Cueller-----Walker------

Swap Luke Young for Clark and I'd be happier with that.

Although this is Houllier we're talking about. Expect a defensive formation with people playing out of position.

As above: My team would be

----------------Friedel-----------------

Walker---Cuellar---Collins---L.Young

--------------NRC---Makoun-----------

-----------------Delph------------------

Albrighton---------------------Downing

------------------Bent-------------------

Bench: Marshall, Petrov, Young, Gabby, Heskey, Baker, Herd

But i am beginning to hope we go

----------------Friedel-------------------------

------------------NRC--------------------------

Mark-Kyle-Cuellar-Collins-LYoung-Downing

----------------Makoun------------------------

-------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------

--------------Bent---Heskey-------------------

With NRC as a Sweeper

A nice thing about us under MON was that every so often you'd get games like this where you can see nothing but a loss, and we'd go and win the bastard. Arsenal away after we'd lost at home to Boro (?) sticks in the head.

We don't tend to do that anymore.

Friedel

Walker

Cuellar

Collins

Young

Marcy Marc

Delph

Makoun

Young

Gabbo

Bent

There's my team, no more Young sticking it into the stand please. Can't risk a typical cowardly Stew performance, there will be challenges to be made, and he won't be making them.

I think it was more than 1 but I don't think this is the time to be trying him out. I want us to play defensive and hopefully get a goal on the counter.

Inter-relationship rivalry for me this game. Taking the Mrs to her first Everton game. I'll be sitting with the bitter scousers as well :( . Pretty close to the Villa fans though. I'm cacking myself over this game, a loss could be devastating and would really point us in the wrong direction.

Edit: we already are but my confidence of us surviving would hit the bottom.

i'll be there sitting in the Everton main stand with an Everton mate.

got £20 riding on the game which i made the bet last summer :(

i think we'll lose 1-0, but i'd love to scrape a 1-1 draw.

if they score first, then we are doomed, our heads will drop, we'll play shit for the rest of the match.

if we score first, then its just trying to hold out & hope they only get 1 goal back & not 2.

We'll be lucky to get a point here. Whenever we play Everton we always seem to be second best yet luckily scrape a result - the win earlier on in the season and ash's infamous last minute goal in the win two seasons ago comes to mind. In both those games Everton bossed us around the park. The 2-2 draw against United is proof of how we can play but that has happened once in a blue moon this season.

I'd take a draw definitely

I think that to play Everton successfully, unless you are a Barca etc., you need to match up to their 4-5-1 formation and be strong. That's why I would want to see a CM of Delph - NRC - Makoun with one of the wingers rested initially and used for impact later on.

I agree Barry'sboots but i doubt Houllier will wise up. Good news is least Luke Young is back and could fill in at LB. Everton do have some key players missing in Feillani and Arteta so i'm not giving up hope just yet but it depends on what attitude our players have adopted.
