Second, yes.. 3rd.. Taylor, kodj and Jedinak were far more culpable. The attack came from down the left, pulling everyone out of place. It was so simple.

Sharp walsed around him goal side, Hutton literally had no idea what was going on.

The 3rd was the worst - you could see Sharp making the run while the ball was still being played down our left.

He even managed to get himself back into a decent position and then for some reason carried on towards the near post leaving a free header at the back.

He gets done like that far too often and we've let in plenty of goals because of it

I’m not disputing that, but the main fault still came from the other three, the ball should never have been allowed to get in a position to be crossed.

Agreed. Sharp ran right round him for the 2nd and just before the ball came in for the 3rd I said to the guy next to me 'he bloody lost him again

He has absolutely no idea of what's going on around him.

Our full backs currently are the worst pairing I can ever remember .

1 of them been bad is ok but 2 been shit is shocking. Sadly Hutton is better than Taylor and Elmohammady

Hutton has been getting ran around all season, what has happened to him, I think Terry made our defence what it was last season.

It's a shame, you mite say that Hutton is no longer Sharp enough for our squad and this league.

And yet was the only one moving the ball forward throughout the game?

You either want him staying at the back to make us more solid, fine if the team are creating or pushing on, and when no one is ?

Was bizarrely our only outlet for moving the ball on the ground, moving forward for the majority of the game.

Smith wants wing backs so get used to having the full backs being out of position when an attack breaks down, with other teams who successfully play that system,  another player will drop into his position or move to cover his position.

He's not the greatest player but he's better than a lot of people are suggesting.

Nobody has an issue with him getting forward, it's the way he ambles back. Most of the time he is jogging back to cover a mistake he made in the first place. The effort he puts in to cover that mistake would not be needed if he didn't make obvious and consistent mistakes.

But his lack of awareness was directly responsible for the 2nd and 3rd goals. He is paid to defend.

What Hutton did for their third goal was beyond belief - schoolboys wouldn't even do that. He tracked back right in front of Sharp but suddenly decided to run across the keeper and try to intercept the cross. What a terrible piece of defending that was!
