meregreen
Simply nowhere near good enough for the Premiership.
AVTuco Posted February 18, 2018 VT Supporter Share Posted February 18, 2018 Been very reliable on the left side, but was beaten for Fulham's first goal.

AntrimBlack
It would be crazy to give him an extension. Have we learned nothing. He is not good enough for the Premier League, and if, heaven forbid, we do not get promoted, I would hope we will be looking at our youngsters or buying young for the future.
villa82
IF we get PL, not one of our players yesterday are good enogh. Terry might be, but he is more of a loan player I say. Chester and Hourrihane can play in the Pl with better players, and hopefully Elmo as right back, not at midfield.

I don't think Hourihane is a premier league player tbh, not as a regular at least. However if we do go up a lot rides on the extent to which our players can raise their games at that level. We will of course need to spend a good £60m-£70m to bring in additional quality regardless.
Vive_La_Villa
So how did he play? Did he suffer without Adomah tracking back and covering?

Danishlad
I'd give Tuanzebe a go at left back. Elmo back on the right with Snodgrass. The two of them were working up a good partnership. Hutton on the bench.
Tomaszk
Oh Alan. I thought he'd done a Collymore v Atletico.
AVTuco Posted February 20, 2018 VT Supporter Share Posted February 20, 2018 I think he crossed with his left once. Can anyone verify?
rodders0223
His passing from the first minute was utter trash. Counting down the months.
poitier
At least he got forward and tried to create when nobody else was. Ok, it isn't his strong point, but he had a whole team ahead of him that seemed incapable of creating anything in the first half.
mikeyp102
If that shot had been on target it would’ve broke the net and the homer would’ve exploded. Did fine again today, always looked to drive out of defence and be an outlet for the team.
HanoiVillan
He was pretty much the only player who could hold his head high at the end of the first half.

Nigel Posted February 21, 2018 VT Supporter Share Posted February 21, 2018 I'm not an massive fan tbh but last night he was the only player on the pitch first half that looked like he knew we had to win the game. Really good game for him. Also with all that good will he has built up the place would have exploded if that shot went in last minute.
VillaAlex
The only player who drove us forward, we were otherwise very static and had no outlet.
Eastie
Big problem last night is he got in a good position on a few occasions but virtually every time came back onto his right foot and failed to deliver a telling cross - for this reason I would consider bringing Taylor back into the team . Hutton whatever his faults though always gives his all .
Stevo985 Posted February 21, 2018 VT Supporter Share Posted February 21, 2018 (edited) I thought he was shit. Has he ever delivered a final ball of any quality in his entire Villa career? Would have redeemed himself if that shot at the end had gone in though. Edited February 21, 2018 by Stevo985
