Czechlad Posted August 20, 2017 Share Posted August 20, 2017 I think today marked the end of Hutton. A defender rarely gets pulled from a match even if they are not having a great match. You really have to be a liability to get subbed off as a direct replacement. Hopefully Bruce now sees that Hutton just isn't good enough. RDL as a dedicated Right back is already better than Hutton. And, he hasn't played there yet for us, but Elmohamady could probably do a better job too. Hutton was on a yellow, no support from Elmo and up against their best player who was getting a lot of the ball. It was the right decision to take him off because he was a red just waiting to happen. I'm not so sure it is the end of Hutton, neither of the other right backs have really made a case for being first choice, other than not being Hutton.
