kidlewis
microsoft warranty for xbox was extended to 3 years from 1 due to RROD, so if you bought it new less than 3 years ago then you're fine. do they repair if it's after that>?
limpid Posted November 24, 2011 Administrator Share Posted November 24, 2011 Why do you care what Microsoft say? Take it back where you bought it and tell them to deal with it. Your contract is with the retailer, not Microsoft. High end electronics should last a lot longer than any additional manufacturers warranty. and the law is on your side. I've posted about this often enough.
Stevo985 Posted November 24, 2011 Author VT Supporter Share Posted November 24, 2011 Yep you have Limpid. Bought mine in 2006 though so it's fairly old. Not sure if that's within the accepted lifespan?
limpid Posted November 24, 2011 Administrator Share Posted November 24, 2011 The Limitations Act allows 6 years, but you are probably right

PieFacE Posted November 24, 2011 VT Supporter Share Posted November 24, 2011 Glad you got it sorted. If anyone has any old Xbox's which have RROD that they want to sell, or any working/faulty Xbox's with Samsung disc drives which they want to sell let me know. Thanks.
