Started throwing up last night and was very quiet and not moving much this morning. He was dead by the time she got back at 11. Stomach ulcers have burst and that's what killed him. He was 6 I think.

I feel like crying.  Give her a hug from me,  I still think about my Beagle every day and he died a few years ago and I have another dog now but it really hurts in my tummy if I think about him.

Had the call we had been dreading last night. The woman who took our dog in cannot keep her no more. She loves her to bits and she is part of the pack, but since the clay pigeon shooting started she has gone down hill big time. She's shit scared all the time and is very anxious and it's having an impact on the other dogs. The land owner is getting annoyed because she keeps wrecking the fence in her state. It's been bad for a few months now but she never said anything. Got the call last night and the woman was in tears. My wife has gone to pick her up and is putting her with a dog lady for a couple of nights until we decide what to do. She can't come back here because it will destroy her again, plus we have a new baby who the dog is unfamiliar with, so can't risk it. I'm going round my mums later to see if she can temporarily take her in. I'd still be the one walking her and all that, but she would be in a settled environment. Hopefully my mum says yes and then we can try and find a suitable home for her again. I'm stressed out to **** and it's all very emotional again. She was having the time of her life on the farm until those bastards started shooting every minute of every day. Absolutely gutted for her.

We collect our blue staffy back today off the dog lady. My mum is going to have her for a bit until we find a suitable home. Gutted it never worked out for her, but I'm excited to see her and to walk her again. From tomorrow morning it's a 4.30 start for me as she's been used to 2 hour walks 3 times a day. She's put on a lot of muscle after being on the farm for the best part of 12 months. Love her to bits :)

Hope everything goes well Ruge, im sure youll find someone who will love him. If it had been last week i could have passed you onto a woman in my office in Rugeley who lost her staffy earlier in the year and has just rehomed one. Im sure she'd have taken her for you. Ill drop you a message if anything changes for her though! She got her new staffy from a rehoming centre fairly local i think, have you looked into that?

Our boy is 10 months old now. Its crazy how much he has grown. Have to say he is absolutely brilliant. The only blip we had is when he decided i didnt need my brand new marvel doormat and he'd kindly get rid of it for me...

Cheers mate. We've had loads of interest and we've had lovely people contacting us saying they will make it their mission to find her a good home. Im sure it won't take long to rehome her. There are a few criterias that need to be met, but we've stated them on the post we put up.

your dog is so cute.

My old dog died at the weekend, he was put to sleep. A good innings and was much loved by all the family. We all knew it was coming and we are pretty much over it unless we mix wine and talk about him too much.

My daughter, and it was her dog effectively, she is struggling to get over it, she has her own issues and unfortunately this has added to it. Just trying to pull her back over this and it's not working too well.

We have an 8 year old Groodle at home. She is loved to bits and lives the good life. At the same time I think we need to call in a specialist because her barking is incessant.

There is a newborn baby next door which we can often hear crying or making goo-goo-gah-gah noises from over the fence and even in the house.

The dog goes absolutely mental barking at this tiny infant, it's like we raised a monster.

She lacks discipline as it is but once she gets fired up I am the only one in the house who can get her to quiet down on command and even then I need to be physically between her and the back fence telling her in no uncertain terms to get in the house and shutup. She will run to the front door to meet and greet everyone in the house without fail, except me.

She just doesn't listen to the girls in our house even though she's been brought up under their guidance as she's 'their' dog.

Have to admit I'm an absolute slut at the dog parks. As our gets puffed within 5 minutes, and the girls always get chatting to the other dog owners, I often find myself throwing the ball for other dogs who love me because I have a good arm and as much energy as them.

We took a photo a few months back with around 10 dogs all anticipating my every movement, waiting for me to throw the ball. While I had the ball in my hand it looked like I was coaching a Sunday sports team for dogs.

Can anybody recommend a good place to get a Beagle puppy?

I had a beagle for 10 years,  he is on this thread somewhere.  I still miss him a lot.

They are difficult to look after though,  one of the most difficult imo.  (They eat everthing in terms of food).

As soon as I move into a house, which should be this year, I'll be getting a dog. I might wait until christmas.

Probably going to be a husky. They're by far my favourite breed. Hard to look after but I'm certain I can make the commitment to do it. I've wanted a dog for years and I can't wait.
