TrentVilla Posted February 4, 2011 Moderator Share Posted February 4, 2011 There is little point trying to guess a Houllier team selection, how times change. Which is both good and bad. Good that players are not completed foooked. Bad when trying to build relationships with your defensive or midfield partner for example. Agreed, its about finding a balance but he seems to be getting there.
Maradona10
Tough tough game, can easily be a draw and they have a player who did **** all for us and will probably be the dynamic midfielder tomorrow.

Morley_crosses_to_Withe
..................Friedel Walker...Collins...Dunne...Clark (hoping they haven't got a good RW!) ..........Reo Coker..Makoun Albrighton..................Young ...........Heskey..Bent Marshall, Cuellar, Bannan, Bradley, Petrov, Downing, Gabby. Edit: That seems grossly unfair on the Fonz Definitely this. Young on the wing and Heskey supporting Bent. As Makoun wasn't quite fit for the Wigan game, I'd like to put him in with NRC to see how he gets on playing alongside him again.
Shillzz
Same team that faced Man United please. Possibly with the exception of Gabby in for Albrighton, who was poor.
kidlewis
A good team doesn't lose twice in a row, it's as simple as that. We'll see if we're a good team or not Villa manager Gerard Houllier I hope he inspires this message into his team. followed by This Is VILLA! darrenm
No Carlos, AGAIN! :x Walker-Collins-Dunne-Clark I suppose. I'm a big Carlos fan, but I can see this isn't the game for him. He's a solid RB and excellent CB but I think we need Walker's offensive play in this game. If we were playing Stoke or Blackburn, he'd be a shoe-in. YankeeinMadrid
He's better than Dunne. He and Collins both offer different things, IMO Carlos is slightly better. For me it should always be Cuellar/Collins with Clark if we actually had a LB.
R.I.C.O.
Must must must must win game. It will propel us up the league and set us off on a good run.
NottingVilla
Bit wary of Fulham they've kept a clean sheet in their last two matches and look great going forward. Hughes seems to have them playing like he did with Robinho and Ireland at City very attacking with good link-up play.
markavfc40
5-1 with a Bent hat trick I hope your right Richard. We are way over due a decent win under Houllier. In his 5 wins out of twenty league games we have never won by more than one goal.

Brumstopdogs
Fulham have conceded just THREE goals in 7 league matches therefore this looks like a really tight game with possibly the odd goal deciding it. They've also scored a higher % of headed goals than any other team in the premier league so possibly Cuellar coming in for Walker might be a good idea. Either way, you just know Sidwell is going to score a 30 yard screamer!!!
Ads
4-1 Villa. A comfortable win against a meadiocre side who are piss poor on the road.
