small heath knuckledraggers invaded the pitch and headed straight for the Villa fans. Riot cops had to keep em apart.

Even when they win, small heaths act like scum

Blues fans invaded the pitch, Villa fans lit a flare and threw it at them, then started ripping up the chairs and throwing them. So no one is innocent in this. The cockney media will have a field day with it, especially if England loses the World Cup bid.

If you come 120 yards to start a fight, I think you can accept the lions share of the blame. I wouldn't be surprised if we've not heard the last of this one - and we might well see a game or two with no away fans.

small heath have got a terrible reputation for this and the stories that are starting to appear elsewhere from around the ground only reinforce what an unpleasant place it is to visit.

I would hope that when the FA look into this (and they've already said that they will) they'll remember small heath's atrocious record in the past.

Throw the book at them I say.

The noses stormed the pitch and headed for the away end, they got right up to the end of the pitch where police stopped them advancing any further, at that point chairs were ripped out and thrown at the noses, there were also a couple of flares that were thrown at the noses on the pitch and then back into the away end. Blues were spitting on villa from above as usual. The Gill Merrick end is going to need a complete refurbishment, i wouldn't have thought there's a toilet or sink left in the end.

Heard the Lulu's were on the rampage before the game, a number of scarfers got battered on the way in.

why is it we beat them 7 on the trot and you never see our fans run on the pitch and antagonise their fans, even when we destroyed them 5-1 we did it with dignity. we show we have class while they are just pure scum and small fry. one win in 8 haha you laughing stocks

I agree ObE this is not new news. I won't set foot any where near the Sty as I go to the games with my 14 year old son and seemingly the Blues fans will attack anyone regardless of age or sex. I think we will be seeing the usual rogues gallery of Blues fans on the front of the Mail in the next few weeks.

Just got home.

First off: Villa Away fans were out of control. If anyone was watching it on Sky, I was on TV first row Green number 10 NY Jets Jersey.

After the match things got ridiculous. Blues fans invaded the pitch and moron Villa fans threw all kinds of shit towards the field trying to hit blues fans....essentially hitting Villa fans in first few rows and stewards, pathetic. I saw at least a dozen stewards or fans bleeding from their heads. I asked a steward when we'd be let out of the stadium and as he leaned in to tell me he was struck in the head by a chair and knocked to the ground. The flare was after all this. Pathetic behaviour, seriously. I'd never recommend taking a wife, gf or children. My blues fan friend told me good thing the Villa lost. He's probably right, there would have been complete insanity.

We were kept in the parking lot for another 30 mins.

As we were approaching the street that turns right towards Digbeth a group of 20 blues fans outside some dodgy ass bar tried picking a fight and a huge 50+ people brawl ensued. Cars reversed back up the road to get out of the way. 0 police. They just escorted us just past mcdonalds and that what it. Fing worthless.

As I made my way past Digbeth towards the bullring we passed some shady bar with bars on the windows. As I was crossing the street someone asked me the score ( wasnt wearing villa colors). I said 2-1 and he punched me in the face. I was surrounded by this 40 year old guy and 4 chav teenagers with diamond earrings and highlights.

I told them to relax and walked away, realizing if I fought back I would have gotten a beatdown from 30plus people who were standing outside the bar. I got hit a few times, kicked in the balls....then dazed crossed the street to catch up with the rest of the group.

My Jaw hurts and I have a cut or 2 on my face...but I'll survive. I was kinda dazed, thinking whether or not to fight back or run away across the street and maybe thats why i was hit again.

Anyways, all of this is going down and the stupid police helicopters are saying "this is the police, you are being recorded" Big frigging help they were. What a joke. Ive been in Birmingham for 4 months now and this was my first taste of Yobs or chavs or whatever u call them.

England's world cup bid. YEAH RIGHT, a big lol to that. Ridiculous really.

Oh, and the result was shit.

As soon as the full time whistle went the scum invaded the pitch and headed straight for the end we were gathered at. They started throwing bottles, and were kept behind a row of riot police. Then a flare was thrown backwards and forwards between both sets of fans. I thought it was thrown from the villa end first. Villa fans were tearing up seats and wrecking some advertising boards. They continued to trash the toilets upon exiting the sty.

Both sets of supporters participated, but the sty dwellers started it all. One even gobbed on a 10 year old lad near us. As always, totally classless, even in their 'biggest game of the season'.

just got back...fan stupidity works both ways. no way are we completely blameless in this, but blues fans antagonising us by taunting us at ft in the way the did was a bit silly. theres a time and place for banter and a night game derby at ft on the pitch is not it.

police were a joke tbh. just pushed us down the hill, all they wanted to do was keep their own line and as soon as we hit the roundabout they disappeared! **** livid with bthe result too, obvs, we played them off the park. jeep the faith with houllier, we're guna play some good football and win sooner or later. credit to our fans at the game during it too, great performance. sotc. utv

I just kinda feel like a p*ssy for not fighting back, but it probably would have been a lot worse for me if i had done. Really frustrating. Literally 14 yo teens, what a joke.

Sorry to hear that mate and i hope you're ok apart from being shaken. It was going off before the game with villa fans being battered by lulu's andlowlifes. The police seem to just record all this for later prosecutions but that does **** all to help the fans getting a beating, they're absolute scum.
