barry'sboots
Sounds like the long ball down the middle might work. Gabby, get your sprinting boots on!
Mantis
I wonder who will be a bigger loss - Fabregas to them or Albrighton to us?
YankeeinMadrid
Fabregas for them
dudevillaisnice
Fabregas being out is a bonus, but they do have plenty of quality in that squad.. i'm still hoping we'd beat them.. is our luck changing?
Brumstopdogs
I really hope we play two up front. Just go for it - their weakness is their defence!
Maradona10
Fabregas is their heartbeat, even at the weekend he was the total spark, I did ask for a few injuries for them and their key player is out!
AVFC-Prideofbrum
Friedel Young Cuellar Dunne Warnock Young Clark Bannan Downing Delfouneso Agbonlahor. OR. Pires CM with Bannan and Clark.
Ponky
They are missing Fabregas, we are missing potentially an entire first XI. I think I'd rather be in their shoes, although you'd have to say their poor form is more worrying than theirs because at least we have an excuse. lexicon
No Fibreglass, no Eboue for them. Good. Arsenal are on somewhat of a downer at the moment, we need to take full advantage of this fact.
TOTTI-THE-GOD
I think Albrighton will be a huge miss for us , i can just see Arsenal coming out fighting after the week they've had . If we can stick to basics , keep the ball on the floor , play our game and keep our wide men actually wide we have an outside chance but thats all it is , i know there missing there captain but there still a classy team . Maradona10
I think them missing Fabregas is a massive blow. I watched the Spurs game, the amount of times in the first half he ran the show. We will also come out fighting, i'd say im more confident than i was.
markavfc40
Shit loads of tickets still available for this. Looks like being around 36k - 38k. Still haven't sold out at home despite already having played Chelsea, Sha, Man Utd and now Arsenal.
Undesirable
I had very little hope in us getting anything from this game but hearing that Fabregas is out has bouyed my expectations, he's a massive miss for them as their whole team revolves around him. Hanky
I really hope we play two up front. Just go for it - their weakness is their defence! Same to be honest. Defence will pick itself on the day depending on who is fit and I'd just put Delfouneso and Gabby up front. We need to start putting teams on the back foot. Don't disagree BUT their strength is their midfield and this where they blew us away at the Emirates last season, albeit that was with Fabregas. I do think if we went: --------------- Baker/Hogg/NRC ------------- ------------- Bannan ------------------------- Downing --------------------------------- Ash ----------------------- The Fonz ------------- --------------- Gabby ------------------------ It would give us the flexibility of moving Gabby/the Fonz out right and Downing or Ash into a central position if we were getting overrun. Maradona10
I'd go with Carew and NRC won't make it. I think he'd be up for it too!
barry'sboots
I'd go with Carew .... even if he went to Blackburn, or just to Italy?? :winkold:
villianusa
If we stick with the same pattern of play in putting the ball out wide and crossing into the box we need to play more with Gabby up front. Most teams will have at least three defenders in the box and we are usually out numbered. Either play more down the middle or get Carew up front with Gabby. I would leave Fonz to make an impact in the second half. Friedel Young Cuellar/Clark Dunne Warnock Young Bannan Clark/Hogg Downing Gabby Carew And stop giving away stupid freekeicks. villianusa
Fabregas for them I agree but more importantly any news on Carlos?
GypsyKing
With Albrighton out I'd bring in The Fonz for Ireland and play Gabby wide right, Downing on the left and Ash behind Fonz. Bannan and Clark in the middle, Collins next to Dunne at the back.
