Too much too soon? The team needed it.

Don't you remember what Lampard said last season...They knew we would tire in the second half....Which was what we did most of last season.....Since they've had that new training the team have been running right until the final whistle.

Yes we've lost goals late on, but it's not because we've been tired.

It was John Terry, not Lampard, and just like I never bought the Petrov tiring thing, I don't buy the entire Villa team tiring either. At least not especially more than anyone else.

It's too simplistic an answer.

Probably not a popular viewpoint that.

Are the injuries just unlucky or are they at least in part caused by the new regimes training schedule? This many big injuries is pretty unprecedented I think, and they've all come rather quickly.

I'm of the line of thought that tends to think that these injuries are not just a case of bad luck, they're bad luck coupled to the training change, too much too soon?

Problem is, it had to be done at some point..Houllier said he hasn't installed big changes, just different things which can help, I think Dunne said similar, not huge changes?

Even small changes can take effect but I'd rather it be done this year so everyone is fitter and firing for next year. It's also down to luck, a few have happened through game situations, etc..

Arsenal, United, Tottenham etc..have all at times had plenty of injuries.

Man United's defensive crisis of last year!! Fletcher, Carrick, Da Laet injured. I don't buy that this is just down to training regime, maybe a tiny effect but these are world class professionals at their jobs, with the best physio's, technology around...so many people can't get it so wrong can they?

Okay but I'll give you three. Man United, Fulham, Tottenham. Two of which, we concede late goals in games we should have won. The other Tottenham, we had enough chances to win the game and also the story of our season, an injury killed us when Heskey on fire at the time, had to come off for who at the time, in dire form, Carew.

Results aren't great but performances have been decent, I can't think of a game yet I've watched and thought 'we deserved to lose that'. Under Houllier anyway. Games like Newcastle are performances I'd be worried about. Not today. The reason we lost is because we got done by two set-peices, which isn't surprising when your forced to play a side pretty much all under 6 ft, apart 2/3,

I didn't see the United game, I was working. Highlights looked decent so I'll give you that.

Spurs I didn't think we were that good. We were alright for a bit then went to pot, by the end looked completely clueless.

The Fulham game I've managed to completely forget our performance from but I'll assume that was alright as well.

I don't think performances have been that great. I hope they pick up.

We made some simple errors today, mainly Friedel and Warnock. Warnock gave away a needless free kick and Brad didnt cover himself in glory what so ever. Bannan was trying to hard today, and we looked toothless at times, Blackburn seemed to be one step ahead of us. We need the transfer window badly. I think that the edition of Pires isn't a bad thing, but he isn't going to take us to the next level, the club have missed a trick. After 4 good seasons we are back to mid table DOL days. Roll on jan. :(

They will once we get a few people back! Well results will, performances have been okay, not all amazing but okay. Only thing I'd of done differently is Cuellar playing. Apart from that, I don't think he's got much wrong personally.

I agree, i dont think he's made to many mistakes. Yeah Cueller should have played more, and we should have been more attacking against Small Heath.

We'll still finish top half, 10 quid bet with someone if they want.

I've said before I see this as a bit of an 03/04 type season or even 06/07. We'll be around this position until the new year and then with some new signings in January and a good run of home games, we should have a strong finish to the season.

Obviously Spurs's comeback yesterday means we'll struggle to push the top 5 now as we've fcuked up a good run of away fixtures so we'll ironically struggle to win many away games this season which has been a big strength in recent seasons.

I'll still go for between 7-9th.

That ones pretty simple for a usual bit of Leviclass maths.

It basically just says how many times out of a million different results were achieved, the idea being the more it was achieved the more it was likely to happen.
