Laivasse
A foul is a foul, touching the ball first or not. That one was pretty much ideentical to Stephen Carr's against Gabby in the derby before last where he insisted it wasn't a foul as he 'got the ball first'. Find me the part in the laws of the game where it mentions 'touching the ball first'. It's one of those things invented by the likes of Andy Gray. Those tackles weren't similar at all. Carr's was a foul because he touched the ball but only in a very glancing way which left it in Gabby's control, then took Gabby out physically. Luke Young just solidly got the ball from Salcido, which means it was a fair tackle as long as it wasn't dangerous play like waving studs in his face.
