Have to say, I think that was a free kick. If you go through and take someone's leg uot like that, it's a free kick. His studs went straight into Saledo's ankle. It doesn't matter if you touch the ball first if you take them out like that.

Yes it does actually. Unless the taking out of the leg was a different tackle. His leg just went through after he had taken the ball and there was no change in his direction. Perfectly fine challenge and fair in every way...

A foul is a foul, touching the ball first or not. That one was pretty much ideentical to Stephen Carr's against Gabby in the derby before last where he insisted it wasn't a foul as he 'got the ball first'. Find me the part in the laws of the game where it mentions 'touching the ball first'. It's one of those things invented by the likes of Andy Gray.

No it wasn't similar. Young's leg just carried on going after he had taken a full chunk of the ball (not a slight touch). Tough shit if he catches the leg on the way through. It's like saying when someone kicks a ball and their swinging leg catches a player (after they have kicked the ball) it should be a free-kick. Just pure nonsense....
