carling cup draw

the scenes post-match having won at the sty again are gonna be **** insane. to those who havnt been there before theres a ramp down to the away end which will be closed until we come out onto the road that leads to other areas of the ground which will have lines of police riot vehicles down the middle to separate us from the scum. expect a few bottles and stones at this stage but the real fun begins as you get down towards the McDonalds and the big roundabout - they'll be charging at us from all directions and the clueless coppers will be hitting random people all over the gaffe and it'll be absolute havoc. cant wait.

To be honest, if you are worried about safety, then Blues away midweek in a Quarter Final is not exactly the best place to go. This will be absolutely explosive no doubt. A brick in the head could be the least of your worries which is why all the Villa who go will **** stick together.

I for one can't wait - I'd settle for a 15th placed finish if it meant winning this game!

Why don't we have official travel though? They do for the games at VP.

I have a feeling the club ay insist on something like this, some way of only those who came on the coach can enter the ground. The problem is if you dont wanna leave on the coach.

But then if you're stupid enough to wanna walk around Small Heath after we dump them out the cup I guess you deserve what you get as you probably give as good as you get.

So what is the sensible option for a solitary travelling fan from South Wales who hasnt been there before and doesnt know his way around?

Ill get "Stay at home" out of the way to save people the effort, but other more constructive ideas would be helpfull.

Best bet is to drive to cheltenham and get on the coach with the cheltenham branch, still be hairy but thats about as safe as going there gets.

Would that be the Gloucester Lions?

Ive been with them before but they dont go to many away games.

If you go on your own you’ll be fine. If you manage to get there at the same time as a large group of Villa, then he chances are you’ll get stuck in an escort and the Noses will stand at the top of the hill and chuck bottles at you.

why people just cant go and watch a football match without having to worry about violence is beyond me

true but this is reality and with blues villa its always there, still think you'd be better going as a group together wouldnt be hard to get going!!!

Nobody has mentioned much on ticketing on this thread so for your info season ticket holder can buy tickets for £25.00 non season ticket holders £30.00 not sure on the alloction as yet.

To those that are worrying about safety i have been enough times and had no bother. Aslong as you dont advertise the fact you are a Villa fan you should be fine. The only place where it becomes obvious is the entrance to the away end.

The Police will be out in force and dont be surprised to be kept in for half an hour this might not happen on a night game i guess it depends on the result as such.

Mate sent me an email with this link in it from the blues website:

Blues' fifth round Carling Cup tie against Aston Villa will take place at St. Andrew's on Wednesday 1 December with a 7.45pm kick off time.

The match has also been selected for live transmission by Sky Sports.

Both clubs have agreed on the following ticket prices for this fixture:-

Season ticket holders (Blues & Villa supporters): £25 adults / £12.50 concessions

Non-season ticket holders (before Matchday) : £30 adults / £15 concessions

Matchday prices: £35 adults / £20 concessions (both season & non season ticket holders)

The above prices are for all areas in the stadium, excluding VIP Hospitality.

Ticket selling arrangements will be confirmed on bcfc.com in due course.
