paddy Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 The Star reporting we were booed off. Am I going deaf or something?
Rodders Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 We were from where I sat in the north stand. Would have been louder I think id several other fans hadnt already left the stadium
Richard Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Houllier needs to be a miracle worker and he isnt
cbr600rr Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 hope i done get villa v bolton on dvd this xmas! brad was on form & thank god for that!,luke young-steady game, dunne-something not right with the big man, collins-rock solid, warnock-reckless, ireland- finesse, went missing, should have scored, petrov-poor,didnt drive on the midfield, marc -tried,huffed &puffed, ash-commited,looked dangerous, gabby-very poor, didnt trouble the ordinary knight,downing-had a good game,carew-did his stuff......i thought bolton deserved a point, maybe all 3 points, you can paper over the cracks so many times, best of luck to the new manager x
Ponky Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Warnock is a worry actually. He does some great stuff mixed with some pretty silly stuff. He gives the ball away repeatedly too. We also miss Ashley Young's defensive work on the left. Cuellar looked pretty solid given the circumstances.
AVFC-Prideofbrum Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 I thought Warnock was pretty solid. Lee who is pretty bright didn't really have any impact on the game.
briny_ear Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 I was at Lord's watching Warwickshire win the CB40 while all this was going on. Having watched it on Football First, all I can say is big thanks to big Brad. Not many thanks to anyone else.
OutByEaster? Posted September 19, 2010 Moderator Posted September 19, 2010 The Star reporting we were booed off. Am I going deaf or something? I heard some booing for the ref but the crowd had mostly been bored into submission.
MrDuck Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Well that was all rather under-whelming. Once again. Note to Collins - stop trying be David Beckham. Trying 60 yard passes out of defense every feckin time you get the ball is not the way to go. Just give the ball to the midfield and let them move it up the pitch. The we might actually keep possession for more than 5 seconds. Warnock still looks a shadow of the player we signed. Frankly he's beginning to look a shadow of the player Nicky Shorey is. Come back Martin O'Neill.
maloneyt Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 thought villa showed signs of great potential under GH in the first half but in the second, we were lucky not to concede. collins, friedel and l young all played well. downing quiet again, not very impressed with gabby.
barry'sboots Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 That front 6 is fine when we are in possession, as we were for much of the first half, BUT is hopeless when we do not have the ball. It is screaming out for NRC's inclusion.
TOTTI-THE-GOD Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Can someone please explain to me the point of taking our only creative central midfielder off , putting Carew on and then having a central midfield of Petrov and Young seriously worst substitution ever . **** clueless Albrighton was crying out to be taken off as he was becoming more and more inafective as the second half wore on . Can someone also explain to me why the feck NRC was dropped ?
wiggyrichard Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Can someone also explain to me why the feck NRC was dropped ? To accomadate: our only creative central midfielder
TOTTI-THE-GOD Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Can someone also explain to me why the feck NRC was dropped ? To accomadate: our only creative central midfielder You've got to admit though when we took Ireland off we looked totally clueless and had no balance
barry'sboots Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 You've got to admit though when we took Ireland off we looked totally clueless and had no balance Thought you could say the same before we took SI off??
Harry Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 The Star reporting we were booed off. Am I going deaf or something? There was a little bit of booing, not from me I hasten to add. I think its just the symptom of a very lack lustre performance
