Condimentalist
"picking up signals that the aston villa appointment might create some serious stir (if randy learner gets his number one choice) don't want to drop names but from what i understand villa are pressing hard for a manager who's currently in a fairly decent job (in the uk)" http://twitter.com/karlsentk Who on earth is this guy? Makes it seem like Moyes, but I really don't want to get my hopes up, because if he did come it would surely be with the promise of significant investment. I believe we would make the top 4 within 3 seasons if we could get Moyes.
C4rvillan
They did have a very strong hand shake yesterday. Maybe Kenwright wants to improve their bank balance considering they had to take out a £14m loan to cover the wage rise of Arteta. But it doesn't make sense. He has said he wants to stay at Everton blah blah. So I can't see it being him or Hughes. Pinch of salt might be needed again.

Plus as you said, the only real chance of getting him IMO is by giving him a fair bit of money to spend
BOF Posted August 30, 2010 Moderator Share Posted August 30, 2010 Could be Mark Hughes too for all we know.
C4rvillan
One thing we know about Moyes is that he isn't afraid to take a risk in the market. £15m for Fellaini, Jo on loan. Apart from being a bit dirty, his teams do play good football. So who knows.

Ulver
WTF is Tor-Kristian Karlsen ? If we somehow managed to persuade Moyes to make a sidewards move to us then it'd be up there with the best managerial appointments we'd ever made IMO It seems a high unlikely scenario though, seeing as we're practically the same as Everton in every single way. Unless Randy's going to open the chequebook again That said. There comes a time in every managers career when he's taken the club he's at as far as he can. O'Neill did it with us of course. Maybe Moyes could push us on, alternatively maybe O'Neill could push them on. Sometimes a change is required for all sides to move forwards
